"The Comebacks"

Your game idea is great, but this report does not cover all of the items requested. Additionally, I asked that this be turned in using the dropbox rather than having me come here to assess the report. Time is up, so this page will have to do.

The concept, story and character development are great! The concept art is also great. After this, however, major peices of your report are missing.

Your score on your presentation was a 90, but your score on this report is a 75. This makes for an overall score of 82.5, which I'll round up to an 85.

Game Concept:

NFL football game but with exceptions—

  • 7 man football. No game ever has a dull moment with the high scores and hard hits!
  • Big plays, broken tackles, and jukes on offense will all build up in a bar at the bottom of the interface. Once full you will receive one "game breaker".
  • Big hits, goal line stuffs, interceptions, forced fumbles, fumble recoveries, sacks, and 3 plays and outs will all add up in a bar at the bottom of the interface. Once full you will receive one "game breaker".
  • Game breakers are a team's special—when u choose to use this, the player with the ball automatically transforms into the teams mascot but keeps his own special abilities.

List of NFL Teams:

AFC

  • Pittsburgh Steelers- The Steelers Mascot is a steel worker with a large steel beam. When the game breaker for the Steelers is used the quarterback can use the steel beam to avoid being sacked for a whole drive. Or on defense the tackler can use the beam to hit the ball carrier and force a fumble.
  • San Diego Chargers- The Chargers mascot is a lightning bolt. When the game breaker is used the offense can conduct lightning which will stun the defense allowing the offense to make huge gains. Using it on defense will stun the offense allowing big hits to be set up on the ball carrier.
  • Jacksonville Jaguars- When using the game breaker with the Jaguars the offensive players become super agile and can slip out of tackles easily. On defense it makes it hard to block the defenders allowing them to get tackles easier.
  • New York Jets- When the game breaker is used on offense the Jets quarterback will have a stronger arm and the receivers will be able to fly to get high balls. On defense missiles can be used to hit field goals down.
  • Buffalo Bills-
  • Miami Dolphins
  • New England Patriots
  • New York Jets
  • Baltimore Ravens
  • Cincinnati Bengals
  • Cleveland Browns
  • Pittsburgh Steelers
  • Houston Texans
  • Indianapolis Colts
  • Jacksonville Jaguars
  • Tennessee Titans
  • Denver Broncos
  • Kansas City Chiefs
  • Oakland Raiders
  • San Diego Chargers

NFC

  • Dallas Cowboys- the Cowboy’s mascot is a western gunslinger from the olden times. When the game breaker is activated for the Cowboys, the quarterback for the Cowboys cannot throw an incomplete pass for one whole drive.
  • New York Giants-the Giant’s mascot is a huge football player with a helmet. When the game breaker for the Giants is activated, the NY Giants turn into Giants until the game breaker meter goes down. This can be used to block a field goal or to make a goal line stand.
  • Washington Redskins-the Redskins’ mascot is an Indian decked out with a breast plate and a bow and arrow. When the game breaker for the Redskins is activated, the Redskins turn into Indians and can use their arrows to deflect a pass or shoot a field goal attempt right out of the air.
  • Philadelphia Eagles-When the game breaker for the Eagles' is activated, the Eagles' wide recievers can soar into the air and catch every ball that is thrown at them until the game breaker runs out, or you can use the game breaker to intercept a pass that is way overthrown.
  • Chicago Bears-When the game breaker for the Bears is activated, a linebacker turns into a bear and can not miss a tackle and is very effective for goal line stands or 4th and short.
  • Detroit Lions-
  • Minnesota Vikings
  • Green Bay Packers
  • Atlanta Falcons
  • New Orleans Saints
  • Carolina Panthers
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • Arizona Cardinals
  • St. Louis Rams

Rules:

Basic rules will be the same as NFL with a few major exceptions:

First downs and extra points: Starting off a series it will be first down and 15 to go. It will be played on a regulation sized football field with the exception of the field goal posts. There will be no field goals or extra points being kicked. Therefore, you must either go for a first down on 4th down or punt. Kickers will only be needed for kickoffs and punts.

Touchdowns: Touchdowns will be worth the usual 6 points and since there is no extra point being kicked you will get 2 options—Take the ball on the 3 yard line and if you score then it will be worth 1 point. OR. Take the ball on the 10 yard line and if you score on that one play it will be worth 3 points added onto the 6 from the touchdown.

Level Design:

There is no escalating levels. You will have a choice between- Rookie, Veteran, All-Pro, or Hall of Fame.
This will allow you to work your way up to being a Hall of Fame player.
